Yay! Congratulations!

Congratulations!!! How cool is it that you're working where you were inspired to become a librarian in the first place!

In my next life, I plan to come back as a children's librarian.

From some one who just earned her masters in library science in May and has her dream job as an elementary librarian-Congrats!!!! Its a wonderful life!

How exciting is that? Congratulations!

Amy Hodge

Awesome! Congratulations! It's so wonderful to hear people who love going to their jobs. It's inspiring for those of us trying to make the move to that more fulfilling lifestyle! Go Rebecca!

Clever Karen

Very cool! So glad you could reach this goal! Sounds like a great job!

Congratulations! I am so happy to hear that things are going so well!

That's wonderful, Rebekah! Congratulations on reaching your goal. I am so happy that you love your new job.

wow, congrats! i don't comment much, but had to here because i'll be getting my MLS in may and looking for a similarly awesome job. fingers crossed that i'll end up just as happy!

Congratulations!!!! That's so awesome that you're working at your childhood library, I have many great memories from my childhood library as well, and now (since I've never moved) Jackson's creating his own memories there. So glad all the stressful days at your old job paid off, it makes all those days so worth it.

Now don't stay away too long, you are missed in blogworld :)

Yay! Very cool to hear that you're loving your new position so much :) Congrats on landing your dream job!

Debbie-Esch House Quilts

Congratulations! Good for you for sticking it out and getting your dream job!

When we first moved to this house the bookmobile used to come to the nearby park once a week. We loved it!

Congratulations! How on earth do you deal with seeing so many books you want to read coming across your desk? Double congratulations on not going into debt for your grad degree. Isn't it nice to know your paychecks aren't going to pay for a loan?

I check out books constantly, so libraries are such a treasure.

YAY for you! How awesome!! Enjoy each and every day for you've reached a destination.

Congrats! That is wonderful!

That's great news! We loooooooove the library, and I have to say that would be on my list of dream jobs. How neat that you'll be at your childhood library as well.

Amazing! Congrats on being so freaking awesome. :)

Good for you! A new year, a new job, but an already familiar (and loved) library.

Congratulations, girl, and enjoy the extra benefits!

Rebekah, congratulations!!!!!!! I'm so pleased for you! I always wanted to be a librarian myself - is there any more wonderful place to be??? And at your childhood library, too, good for you!

congratulations!! i am so happy for you!

Congratulations! That's fabulous - goals set and reached! Some of the fun things I remember from childhood are Library trips, and I'm lucky enough to be able to walk to a nice one with Becket now. How lucky that you get to be there every day :)

Great news!
It's something so rare an precious to love going to work :) Enjoy! And don't rub it in to much for us less fortunate, please, hehe!

woohoo! Congratulations. I SO admire librarians. I'm a heavy library user, and love my childhood library too. Its my dream to work there some day. I'm so impressed that you fulfilled your dream and no longer work at a day job you hate. Way to go!

That is such wonderful news on so many levels! I was having some "I should have gotten my master's degree in library science instead!" thoughts last year. I'll just live vicariously through you, I guess! And kudos to you for coming out of it debt free... we're cracking down on the last of my husbands' MBA loans right now. Again, I'll live vicariously. ;)

What a fulfilling feeling you must get each day as you walk through the doors to your new job. So happy for you.

And, the bookmobile!? Swoon!

Librarians and crafts really do go so well together. I have been following your blog as a fellow crafter... but now it seems we have another common trait! (I finish my MLIS in April!)

Congratulations!!!!!! :)

Amy Seven-stitches

Congratulations! The book mobile at the Wellington library recently stopped, but I can remember it being a highlight in my grandparents lives - a fortnightly stroll to the bus stop around the corner rather than facing the traffic and driving to the library.

Cheryl Arkison

That's awesome. Congratulations!

(In a twisted way, this reminds of the mediocre novel I'm reading. "The American Wife" She works as a librarian at a school and adores it - until she marries the rich guy.)

Congrats! You've got an important job. Great for you.

that is sooooooooooooo cool! i'm so very happy for you! my sister desperately wants to be a librarian or work in a library someday. so i can imagine your delight in your new job. congrats to you!

Oh how nice for you! Congratulations!!

Congratulations! and debt free? wish I could say the same for my grd program ;) Anyway, I'm so happy for you and Jon, you two must be in heaven!
