I finished the first square of my handkerchief corners quilt this afternoon...only 87 more to go. If all goes as planned, this quilt will measure 64" x 88", so it should be about twin-sized. Each square will measure 8" x 8" once they are completed and sewn into the quilt. I think I'm going to try using a higher loft batting on this quilt to make it puffier and warmer for the winter. I've only ever use the thin cotton batting, so we'll see how it goes.
If you want warm, try using a wool batt. They aren't puffy. However they provide lots of warmth.
